Committees

The Chamber offers many opportunities for its members to get involved.  One major option is to participate on one of our volunteer committees.  Whether you want to be very involved or just participate from time to time, our various committees offer something for everyone.  Below is a brief description of each committee.  For more information, please call the Chamber at 952.944.2830.  To print this list, view the PDF by clicking HERE.

Ambassador Committee:
Meeting Times:  1st Tuesday of each month, alternating times between 11:30 and 4:30, plus 4 site visits each month.
A good option for Chamber Members who have been around a while or new Members who want to be very active.  The Ambassadors are the “good will representatives” of the Chamber.  They are expected to attend as many events as possible and learn about other Chamber Members and their business needs, as well as to welcome new members & help business representatives connect throughout the Chamber community.

Business Development Committee

Meeting Times:  The 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Chamber Office.

Fusion
Meeting Times:  The 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11:30 - 1:00 plus social events as planned (usually every other month).

Fusion is comprised of individuals who are newer to the business world or their profession.  The purpose is to share business strategies and to form personal and professional connections through monthly meetings and social activities.  Visit Fusion online at www.epchamber.org/fusion.aspx for details!  This group is open to Members & Non-Members.

Gala Committee
Meeting Times:  The 4th Friday of each month as necessary leading up to the Annual Gala.

Description:  The Gala is our biggest annual fundraiser.  The committee is formed to develop and execute a plan for the event.

Golf Committee

Meeting Times:  As needed.

Description:  The Golf Tournament is one of our biggest annual fundraising events.  This committee develops and executes a plan for the event that will meet Chamber objectives.  They also help staff the event where needed.

Government Committee

Meeting Times:  The 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Chamber Office.
Description:  This is a great group for those who are interested in the legislative, transportation and business advocacy issues that affect Eden Prairie and the surrounding areas.  This committee discusses these issues and then helps communicate positions to local metro and state officials.  They also meet with and influence the people who are forming current policy and future legislation.

Additional Benefit!  The EP Chamber is a member of the US Chamber of Commerce and an active participant in their programs/issues.

Women’s Networking Group

Meeting Times:  The 2nd Thursday of each month from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

"The Eden Prairie Chamber has provided my business with countless new leads and has accounted for nearly $50,000 of new business. Hands down the money spent on the Chamber has the most return dollar for dollar than any other advertising that I could do. The networking possibilities are endless and working with the Chamber takes very little time -- the return is easily 10-fold."
