Join a Committee
The more you put into your chamber membership, the more you will get out of it. One way to get more involved is by joining a committee or council. The chamber has several options to volunteer at varying levels of commitment. Below is a brief description of each committee opportunity.
Interested in joining a Chamber committee? Please fill out this form and a Chamber staff member will contact you.
Meeting Times: the 1st Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM, plus four additional site visits
Description: A good option for Chamber Members who have been around a while or for new Members who want to be very active. Ambassadors are the “good will representatives” of the Chamber. They are expected to attend as many events as possible and learn about other Chamber Members and their business needs. Additionally, ambassadors welcome new members and help business representatives connect throughout the Chamber community by attending new member site visits and ribbon cutting events.

Meeting Times: as needed each month and then biweekly leading up to the Annual Gala.
Description: The Gala is our biggest annual fundraiser. This committee is formed to develop and execute a plan for the event. Members can join just to be a part of the brainstorming process, or they may take on bigger action roles. Sub committees consist of securing sponsorships, securing silent auction items, brainstorming games or venue decorations.
Meeting Times: as needed each month and then biweekly leading up to the Golf Tournament.
Description: The Golf Tournament is one of our biggest annual fundraising events. This committee develops and executes a plan for the event that will meet Chamber objectives. They are responsible for securing numerous on-course sponsorships, silent auction items and recruiting golfers. They also help staff at the event where needed.
Public Policy Committee
Meeting Times: the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Chamber Office.
Description: This is a great group for those who are interested in the legislative, transportation and business advocacy issues that affect Eden Prairie and the surrounding areas. The goal is to discuss these issues and grow the influence of the Eden Prairie business community through proactive advocacy and thoughtful public policy initiatives. From there, they meet with and influence the people who are forming current policy and future legislation. This committee will work to develop the Chamber’s multi-tiered plan of advocacy for its positions to support our businesses on policy issues at the local, state and federal levels.
Meeting Times: virtual meetings as needed.
Description: The objective of the recognition committee is to identify exceptional programs and individuals in the educational and business systems through the Chamber's recognition and scholarship awards. The Chamber grants seven awards and scholarships throughout the year, and members of this committee nominate one business or Chamber member for each award.
Women’s Networking Group
Meeting Times: virtual committee with a few meetings throughout the year as needed.
Description: This tri-chair committee discusses how to continue the growth of programs and speakers. The chairs brainstorm topics and reach out to speakers as needed. They also secure exhibitors, door prizes and sponsorships for luncheons and the Annual Ladies on the Links Golf Tournament. Lastly, they attend all programs and assist with speaker introductions and chamber announcements at events. This is a very fun and outgoing group for women who enjoy networking with other women to grow professionally and develop relationships.
Workforce Development Committee
The Workforce Development Committee will focus on talent attraction, partnerships with K-12 and higher education initiatives, and connecting businesses with students and the future workforce.
