‘Greenlighting’ a new concept: TCYP

Mark Hayes

Two years ago, as part of the strategic planning process for the Chamber, the Board of Directors made a decision to “greenlight” a new concept in programming for our members and the broader Twin Cities community overall.  Called the Twin Cities Young Professional Summit (TCYP), this event was targeted for “younger” leaders (quotation is mine), and designed to provide content and experiences that stimulated leadership development, education, diversity, health and other relevant topics.

These events have been very successful in advancing the mission of the Eden Prairie Chamber in growing the influence of the Eden Prairie business community through proactive advocacy and thoughtful public policy initiatives.  By providing programming and content for young business leaders, we support our members, and their employees, in becoming stronger members of the Eden Prairie business community.

The business environment we all face is extremely fast paced.  Making time for personal development, or more importantly, development of our employees and staff is often difficult.  This is another reason why the Chamber launched TCYP.  To provide a resource for our members and their employees for personal leadership development.

This year, TCYP will take place on Friday, April 13th at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel from 9 am to 1:30 pm, including lunch.

Keynote speaker is Mike Veeck, owner of the St. Paul Saints, who will speak on the topic, “Fun is good.”  Putting into practice ways to incorporate fun in every day work life while making a positive impact.   We will also have several other breakout speakers during the session discussing topics from managing sleep for better health, leadership development, personal branding and more…..

Ticket prices for this day of leadership development are only $159.  Please consider how you, or members of your team can benefit from a day focusing on leadership development.  Learn more at TCYPsummit.com or by calling the Chamber office to register you and your employees.

Have a great month!
